Leaf is a Boston-based startup building a next generation Point of Sale platform.  We offer a hybrid hardware/cloud solution, combining a purpose-built mobile tablet for taking payments with an online back end where business owners can manage inventory, view realtime analytics and communicate with their customers through social channels.


JOB DESCRIPTION


Responsibilities:


Ensure every merchant signed by Leaf’s direct sales force, online sales, and reseller partner sales is successfully launched creating high levels of customer satisfaction. To achieve this goal this position will be responsible for:




  • Ensure an effective process for launching new merchants
  • Design processes to improve efficiencies and enhance the merchant on-boarding process
  • Provide first line support and training to strategic partner resellers launching new merchants
  • Develop and present analytical reports providing insights into the effectiveness of launching new merchants
  • Develop and enforce a merchant qualification process by working closely with sales partners
  • Manage the fulfillment process to ensure the merchant receives the right equipment at the right time. This will include coordinating fulfillment processes with key partners
  • Improve and deliver an “out-of-the-box” experience for new merchants. This will include providing services such as initial catalog uploading, logos, employees etc
  • Develop online training tools (webinars, videos, etc) for merchants to help them get started with Leaf.
  • Develop a process that supports effective merchant launch is scalable for future growth.
  • Hire, manage and motivate a team to handle merchant launch

QUALIFICATIONS


Requirements:




  • Technology savvy, a great understanding of tablets, Wi-Fi networks, and cloud platforms.
  • Leadership skills – able to set priorities, provide coaching and hire good people.
  • 5 years experience in working with technology solutions (software and/or hardware), such as mobile, PCs in a sales, or customer service role.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Especially comfortable providing training via the phone and webinars.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills- comfortable in interacting with customers, partners, employees and co-workers.
  • Experience working with Google Apps

Desired Skills:




  • Experience working with retail, restaurant and service merchants
  • Familiarity with point of sale and loyalty programs
  • Experience with customer service
  • Previous work in daily deals, POS, or payment processing
  • College bachelors and/or postgraduate degree in technology or business
